The name of our business comes from the previous owner. Mick.
It was originally ran as a part-time business alongside mick’s full time job as a Firefighter, hence the name ‘Blaze’.
Phil acquired Blaze Entertainment in 1997 and took on the business as a going concern with some future work already on the books. Phil agreed to take on the business gradually, allowing him to accompany Mick on these future bookings to gain the experience necessary to provide the quality of entertainment that we pride ourselves on today.
Phil was quickly up to speed, and working alone, generating his own bookings. Very soon his younger brother Paul and best friend Adam were accompanying Phil to his functions. As the work load increased Adam and Paul were given their own sets of equipment and began to work independently at weddings, birthday parties and other events.
The vast majority of the people that book Blaze Entertainment have been recommended to use our services by a previous customer, and we are glad to have been able to build a successful business this way.
We have been proud to hold quality resident venues for many years. These relationships have been forged by our team providing constantly good levels of service to both the venue and our customers.

Phil - Owner/Manager
After acquiring Blaze in 1997 Phil worked alongside the original owner for 12months to learn the trade. Over the years phil has gained a vast amount of experience Djing at many types of functions including weddings, birthday parties, corporate functions, school proms, bars/clubs and children’s parties Even providing many end of term parties at local schools.
Paul - DJ
Paul’s roots in the business go back to the beginning. Being phils brother, he started out assisting Phil at functions. As the business built its reputation Paul gained his stripes, and would be regularly providing entertainment at weddings and birthday parties as the demand on Blaze Entertainment’s services grew.
